The Power of Religious Media Criticism: An Analysis of the Christian Film and Television Commission, 1985--2005

This project is informed by Pierre Bourdieu's notions of how power is embedded in the use and interpretation of art. It applies Bourdieu's model to religious media criticism to help better understand how its particular tactics and evaluative criteria contribute to understanding the power embedded in religious media criticism.
