The province of Alberta has one of the largest hydrocarbon bases in North America. This makes it one of the leading Canadian provinces for energy production and consumption. The energy sector is one of the largest contributors to provincial GDP, income, employment, andgovernment revenue (Government of Alberta, 2008). This report gives a brief description of the assessment of energy-efficiency improvement scenarios in the energy-demand sectors in Alberta.
Purpose: "The purpose of the Biodiversity action plan (BSAP) is the assist the Marshall Islands to plan for the conservation of its biodiversity and for the sustainable use of its biological resources. This is the first time that such a strategy and action plan has been formulated for the country. It provides an opportunity for the government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands to integrate principals of sustainable resource management and biodiversity conservation into the national development planning processes. As the Marshall Islands is heavily dependant on it natural resources, and its people have a close relationship with their biodiversity, the need for integration is very important.
