Only On The Earth Has The Repetition Of Erosion And Sedimentation The Colossal Hour Glass Of Rock Destruction And Rock Formation Run Its Course Cycle After Cycle And Produced The Diverse Surface That We See. The Mountains Are Raised And Then Worm Away By Falling And Running Water, The Debris Is Carried Onto The Low Lands And Then Out To The Ocean. Geologically Speaking, The Process Is Rapid. The Great Plateau Of Africa Is Reduced By A Foot In A Few Thousand Years, And In A Few Million Years It Will Be Near Sea Level, Like The Precambrian Rocks Of Canada And Finland.
